Measuring in Polycam Web

1. Open Your Capture: Log in to Polycam using your web browser, navigate to your Library, and select the capture you wish to measure.

2. Enter Measurement Mode: Once your capture is open in the 3D viewer, look for the Measure button, on the left-hand side of the page. Click on it to enter measurement mode.

3. Select Measurement Type: Similar to the mobile version, you can measure using the ruler, pen, or area by selecting the appropriate option.
4. Start Measuring: Click on the starting point in your 3D capture, then click on the endpoint to measure the distance. For area and volume, continue selecting points to define the boundaries.
5. Adjust Measurements: You can adjust any measurements by clicking and dragging the points to new locations. The measurements will automatically update based on the changes.

6. Save or Export Measurements: Once you're satisfied with the measurements, you can save them within the capture or export them along with the capture file.

What are the Different Measuring Types?

Ruler

The Ruler tool allows you to create a measurement by clicking on two points on the object. If you make the two points at an angle, the angle measurement will also populate.
