Polycam offers intuitive camera controls on both mobile and web platforms to help you capture high-quality 3D models and images efficiently. This guide explains how to use these controls effectively.
Mobile Controls
To navigate your Polycam captures on mobile devices, use touch gestures for smooth control. Pinch to zoom in or out, drag with one finger to pan across the capture, and use two fingers to rotate around the scene. These gestures make it easy to explore every detail of your 3D models directly on your mobile device.
- Pan and Tilt: Use gestures to pan (move left/right) and tilt (move up/down) the camera. Swipe on the screen to adjust the view.
- Zoom: Pinch in or out on the screen to zoom in or out during capture.
- Zoom To: Double tap on a area of a scan to zoom to that space.
Web Camera Controls

For a more precise view, double-click on any area to zoom directly to that location. If you prefer using your keyboard, the W/A/S/D keys allow you to move around the capture, while the arrow keys enable you to rotate and adjust your view.
