Creating Gaussian Splats in Polycam helps generate a 3D representation using images or videos. This process is simple and accessible directly through the Polycam web platform. Follow the steps below to create Gaussian Splats for your projects.
How to Upload Your Files
1. Log in to the Polycam Website: Visit the Polycam website and log in to your account.
2.Navigate to the Gaussian Splat Creator: In the top navigation bar, click on Tools. Select Gaussian Splat Creator and View from the dropdown menu.
3. Initiate the Creation Process: On the Gaussian Splat Creator page, click the purple Create Gaussian Splat button.
4. Upload Your Files: You can upload either images or videos as input for the splat creation

- For images: You need a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 1000 images in PNG or JPG formats.
- For videos: You need a minimum length of 15 seconds and a maximum of 15 minutes (or 15GB). Accepted formats include MP4, MOV, AVI, and M4V.
5.Additional Settings: Once you have selected your files, you will be given additional options to choose from.
