How to Access the Advanced Floorplan Feature
1Accessing the Advanced Floorplan Feature
Navigate to a Room mode capture.
2Open your Floorplan
On the navbar, tap/click Floorplan to access the floorplan feature.
Available Features for Advanced Floorplans
Show Furniture
Toggle the visibility of furniture on your floor plan. When enabled, scanned furniture will be displayed, providing a better understanding of how the space is utilized.
Show Total Area
This option displays the total area of the entire floor plan, providing an accurate measurement of the space covered in your scan.
Show Interior Measurements
Generates an internal measurement for each interior room in your floor plan.
Show Compass
Displays a compass on your floor plan to help orient the layout.
Show Room Labels
Automatically generated room labels identify the type of room (e.g., living room, bedroom) based on recognizable items in your scan. These labels can be toggled on or off for a cleaner view.
Show Room Area
Calculate and display the area of each room in your floor plan.
Wall Thickness
Allows users to adjust the thickness of walls in your floor plan.
Color Theme
Customize the appearance of your floor plan by selecting a color theme. Polycam offers several options for the base color and automatically generates secondary colors based on your selection.
Available Themes
- Monochromatic: A single color with varying shades.
- Complementary: Colors opposite each other on the color wheel.
- Triadic: Three evenly spaced colors on the color wheel.
Title
Allows users to modify the name of the floorplan manually.
Total Area
Allows users to toggle on/off the total area of the floor plan.
Address
Modify the address automatically generated by the app to ensure the floor plan corresponds to the correct location.
Room Label
This option allows users to modify the room labels in their floor plan manually. To enter a room's name, click inside the box. To save, click outside the box.
