Change Measurement Snapping on Polycam Mobile

1. Log In to Polycam: Open the Polycam app on your mobile device and log in to your account.

2. Navigate to Your Library: Access your capture library and select a capture.

3. Open the Measure Tool: On the bottom navigation bar, tap on the Measure icon.

4. Access Measurement Settings: Within the measurement tool, tap on the gear icon on the left-hand side of the page.

5. Modify the Snapping Point: A new panel will appear where you can modify your snapping point. This will update the measurement tool for all captures in your account.

Change Measurement Snapping on Polycam Web

1. Log In to Polycam: Visit Polycam Web and log into your account.

2. Navigate to Your Library: Access your capture library and select a capture.

3. Open the Measure Tool: On the top right-hand side of the page, click on the Measure con.

4. Access Measurement Settings: Click the gear icon at the top right of the page.

5. Modify the Snapping Point: A new window will appear, allowing you to adjust the default snapping options. Select your preferred snapping point to apply it across all captures in your account.

What are the Different Snapping Types?

Within the settings, you will see different snapping options:
Snap to World: Allows you to snap to the measurement line and align with the X, Y, and Z axes.
Snap to Plane: Snaps to the plane of your object.
Snap to Angle: Aligns points to a specific angle.
