Polycam’s sharing feature makes it easy to share your captures with anyone. This guide will walk you through using this feature effectively across different platforms.

Understanding Sharing Options in Polycam

Polycam empowers you to control who can access your 3D captures through flexible sharing settings. Whether you need to collaborate privately or showcase your work publicly, Polycam offers sharing options tailored to your specific needs.

Only People Added

This private sharing option restricts access exclusively to users you specifically invite. This is ideal for sensitive projects or specific team collaborations.

  • You must provide each person's email address or Polycam username
  • Anyone not explicitly added cannot view the capture, even with the link

When unauthorized users attempt to access these captures, they'll see a "Something Went Wrong" page.

Anyone with the Link

This public sharing option grants access to anyone who possesses the direct URL:

  • No login credentials or specific user permissions required
  • Anyone with the link can immediately view your capture

Remember to avoid using this option for confidential or sensitive content, as it's accessible to anyone who obtains the URL.
