How to Purchase Additional Seats for Your Workspace

Expand your team's capacity by purchasing additional seats when you need to invite more users to your Polycam Business account.

Understanding Additional Seats

If you need to invite more users but have reached the limit of available seats, Business users can purchase additional seats to expand their team capacity. This allows you to continue growing your team without interruption.

What You Need to Know

  • Business subscription required: Additional seat purchases are available for Business and Enterprise accounts
  • Seat limits: Business Teams can purchase up to 10 seats per account
  • Immediate availability: New seats become available immediately after purchase
  • Pro-rated billing: Additional seats are billed at a pro-rated rate based on your current billing cycle

Prerequisites

Before purchasing additional seats, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Owner permissions: You must have owner-level access to purchase additional seats
  • Active subscription: Your Business or Enterprise subscription must be active and in good standing
  • Payment method: A valid payment method must be on file for your account
Important: Additional seats are billed immediately upon purchase and will be reflected in your next invoice. Make sure your payment information is up to date before proceeding.

How to Purchase Additional Seats

On Polycam Web

1Navigate to Your Team Library

Open Polycam Web and log in to your account. Once logged in, locate your Team Panel on the left-hand side of the page and click on it to access your team settings.

2Click the Invite More Button

On the Teams Page, look to the right-hand side and click the Invite More button. This will open the seat purchase interface.

3Select the Number of Seats

A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select the number of additional seats you wish to purchase. Business Teams can purchase up to 10 seats per account. Use the selector to choose the appropriate number of seats for your needs.

Tip: The interface will display the cost per seat and the total cost for your selected number of seats. Review this information carefully before proceeding.

4Confirm and Add Seats

Once you have selected the number of seats, click Add Seats to proceed with the purchase.

5Complete the Purchase

A confirmation window will appear to confirm your seat purchase. Review the details one final time, then complete the transaction. Your new seats will be available immediately.

After Purchasing Additional Seats

What Happens Next

Once you complete your seat purchase, several changes take effect immediately:

  • Immediate availability: New seats are available for use right away
  • Billing update: The additional cost is added to your subscription and will appear on your next invoice
  • Team capacity: You can now invite additional team members up to your new seat limit
  • Invoice access: View the purchase details in your billing history and download invoices as needed
Pro-Rated Billing: Additional seats are charged on a pro-rated basis for the remainder of your current billing cycle, ensuring you only pay for the time you use them.

Inviting New Team Members

After purchasing additional seats, you're ready to invite new team members:

  1. Navigate to the People tab: Access your team's People management section
  2. Click Invite Members: Use the invitation feature to send invites to new users
  3. Set permissions: Assign appropriate permission levels for each new member
  4. Send invitations: New members will receive email invitations to join your team
