How to Search for Captures by Location
1Navigate to the Explore Page
Open the Explore page on your preferred platform:
- On iOS or Android: Tap the earth icon on the bottom navigation bar.
- On Web: Click Explore on the left-hand side of the page.
2Open the Map View
On the Explore page, tap or click the Map icon to switch to the map-based search view.
3Navigate to Your Area of Interest
Pan and zoom the map to navigate to the region you want to explore. Once you've found the area you'd like to search, click to load captures from that location.
4View the Results
Blue circles will appear on the map marking the location of available captures in that area. A gallery of captures from the selected region will also be displayed below the map for easy browsing. Tap or click any circle or gallery item to open that capture.
Once you've opened a capture, you'll have the following options:
- Save the capture: If the creator has enabled the Savable option, you'll be able to save a copy of the capture to your own library.
- Explore the creator's other captures: Tap or click the creator's profile image to view their profile and see other captures they have published around the world. You may need to zoom out on the map to see captures they have made in different regions or countries.
- Follow the creator: You can follow the creator from their profile to stay updated on their future captures.
Note that there is no text-based search on the map. To navigate to a specific area, you will always need to pan and zoom the map manually and click to load results.
Resetting or Changing Your Search Area
Only captures that were published with the Show Location option enabled will appear on the map. If an area appears empty, there may be captures from that region that were published without location data.
To search a different area, simply pan or zoom the map to your new location and click again to update the results.
If you have filtered the map to show captures from a specific creator, you'll see their name displayed at the top of the map. To remove this filter and return to browsing all captures, click the X button next to the creator's name.
