How to Modify Location Access

By default, the capture window will automatically appear when you open the app. You can change this behavior on the Polycam app. 

Manage Location Access

1. Open the Polycam App: Launch the Polycam app on your mobile device.

2. Access Your Profile: Tap your profile icon located on the bottom right-hand side of the app.

3. Go to Settings: Tap the Settings tab to open the app preferences.

4. Navigate to the General Section: Scroll through the settings page and locate the General section.

5. Tap on Location Access: Select Location Access to open your device’s permission settings for the Polycam app.

6. Adjust Location Permissions: Tap on Location in your device settings and choose the level of access you want Polycam to have:

      • Allow While Using the App (Recommended)
      • Allow All the Time
      • Deny

7. Capture your Session: Once enabled, your captures will now have a geotag, which will allow you to view the location of the capture. 

Any captures taken before turning on location data will not have this data available.
