How to Export Polycam Floor Plans to Xactimate

In this guide, you will learn how to export floor plans from Polycam and import them into Xactimate for professional estimation and sketching.

1Access Floor Plan View

From your capture page in Polycam, navigate to the floor plan view to begin configuring your export.

2Configure Floor Plan Settings

Using the side panel, configure the floor plan settings. Add labels and measurements as needed. Keep track of at least one measurement that's laid out in Polycam - you'll use this for accurate scaling when importing into Xactimate.

3Download Floor Plan Files

Once all labels and measurements are in order, click Download to download a zip file containing all included file types for your floor plan. Extract the zip file and locate the PNG image - this is what you'll import into Xactimate.

In Xactimate, go to Estimate → Sketch → Import and select Import Underlay Image. Choose the PNG file you downloaded from Polycam.

3Toggle Between Views

At any point, you can use keyboard shortcuts to switch perspectives:

• Press 1 to toggle to Plan View (top-down)
• Press 3 to toggle to 3D View (perspective)
