Why Do I Have an Overlapping Subscription?
If you've received a notification about multiple active subscriptions, this means you have subscribed to Polycam through more than one platform. This article explains why this happens and how to resolve it.
Why Does This Happen?
Polycam subscriptions are managed separately on each platform. If you start a subscription on one platform and later subscribe again through a different one, both subscriptions remain active independently, resulting in you being charged twice. For example, you might have a Pro subscription on iOS and a Business subscription on Web running at the same time.
Polycam subscriptions are available through three platforms:
- iOS via the Apple App Store
- Android via the Google Play Store
- Web via Stripe
How to Check Your Active Subscriptions
To see which subscriptions you currently have active, you can do one of the following:
- Click the button in your notification to go directly to your Polycam billing page.
- Visit poly.cam/billing to view all active subscriptions on your account.
How to Cancel a Duplicate Subscription
Once you've identified which subscriptions are active, cancel the duplicate based on which platform it was purchased through. Note that Polycam can only cancel Web subscriptions directly. Apple and Google subscriptions must be cancelled by the user through their respective platforms. Make sure to keep the subscription on the platform you primarily use before cancelling the duplicate, as cancelling the wrong subscription may result in losing access to your current plan.
When you cancel a subscription, your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after that date.
Web Subscription (Stripe)
Web subscriptions can be managed directly through your Polycam account. Go to poly.cam/billing, click , and select the subscription you want to cancel from your active subscriptions list.
iOS Subscription (Apple App Store)
Polycam cannot cancel Apple subscriptions on your behalf. You will need to manage your iOS subscription directly through Apple. Visit the Apple subscriptions page to cancel or modify your subscription.
Android Subscription (Google Play Store)
Polycam cannot cancel Google Play subscriptions on your behalf. You will need to manage your Android subscription directly through Google. Visit the Google Play subscriptions page to cancel or modify your subscription.
