How to Uninstall the Polycam App
Before you uninstall Polycam, it's important to back up any captures that are stored locally on your device. This article walks you through how to check your local storage, back up your captures, and then safely uninstall the app.

Step 1: Review Your Local Storage
Start by checking what captures are stored locally on your device. Open the Polycam app, go to Settings, and tap Local Storage. Any capture showing as local only has not been synced to the cloud and will be permanently deleted when you uninstall the app. Make sure these captures are backed up before continuing.

Step 2: Back Up Your Captures
Before uninstalling, make sure any captures you want to keep are either exported to your device or uploaded to the cloud. Choose the method that works best for you.
Option A: Export to Files or Photos
Open the capture in the Polycam app, tap the export button, choose your desired format, and save it to your Files app or Camera Roll.

Option B: Upload to the Cloud
Open the capture, tap the upload icon or enable Sync to Cloud, and wait until the upload is fully complete before uninstalling.

Step 3: Uninstall Polycam
Once all your important captures are backed up or uploaded, it's safe to remove the app. Follow the steps for your device:
On iOS
Tap and hold the Polycam app icon, then select Remove App.
On Android
Tap and hold the Polycam app icon, then tap Uninstall.
