How to Reprocess a Floorplan Capture

Reprocess an existing floorplan capture to generate a detailed 3D mesh model and 3D floorplan without needing to rescan.

Overview

Reprocessing allows you to take an existing floorplan capture and generate a detailed 3D mesh, using the scan data that was already collected.

⚠️ Raw Data Required: Reprocessing requires the original raw scan data to be present on the capture. If you have deleted the raw data from a capture, it cannot be recovered, and the capture can no longer be reprocessed.

How to Reprocess a Floorplan Capture

1Open the Capture

Navigate to the floorplan capture you want to reprocess and open it.

2Open the Advanced Tool

In the capture toolbar, swipe all the way to the right and tap the Advanced tool.

3Select Reprocess Scan

From the Advanced menu, select Reprocess Scan.

4Choose a Process Type

Select the process type you'd like to generate. Please note that cloud processing will require an active internet connection.

5Start Processing

Tap the Process button to begin. Polycam will process your capture and generate the selected output.

Processing time will vary depending on the size and complexity of your scan. You can leave the app and return when processing is complete.
