Understanding Each Adjustment

Each adjustment control serves a specific purpose in refining your capture's appearance. Understanding these tools will help you achieve the exact look you're aiming for.

Exposure

Controls the overall brightness of the capture.

Exposure Adjustment Example
  • Increase exposure to brighten a dark scene.
  • Decrease exposure to reduce overly bright highlights.

Contrast

Adjusts the difference between the light and dark areas.

Contrast Adjustment Example
  • Higher contrast makes shadows darker and highlights brighter.
  • Lower contrast flattens the image and reduces intensity.

Color Temperature

Shifts the warmth or coolness of the image.

Color Temperature Adjustment Example
  • Increase temperature for warmer tones (more yellow/orange).
  • Decrease temperature for cooler tones (more blue).

Tint

Adds a subtle color shift between green and magenta tones.

Tint Adjustment Example
  • Useful for correcting color casts caused by indoor lighting or reflections.

Saturation

Controls the intensity of all colors.

Saturation Adjustment Example
  • Increase saturation to make colors more vivid.
  • Decrease saturation to mute or grayscale the image.

Vibrance

A smarter version of saturation that selectively boosts muted colors without over-saturating skin tones or already vivid areas.

Vibrance Adjustment Example
  • Best used when you want a more natural color enhancement.
