| Object mode | Allows users to capture individual objects in 3D using Object mode. |
| 360 mode | Allows users to capture 360° photos and panoramas. |

What Users See When a Mode is Disabled
If a capture mode has been disabled by an owner, users will not see it as an available option in the capture screen. Attempting to access a disabled mode via a direct link or shortcut will display a message indicating that the feature has been turned off by their organization.
Default Capture Mode
Use the Default capture mode dropdown to set which capture mode users see first when opening the capture screen. If set to None, users will see their own last-used mode or the app default.
Capture Settings
The Capture settings section allows you to define minimum frame count thresholds that apply across your organization.
| Setting | Description | Default | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum frame count (Space) | Sets the minimum number of frames required before a Space mode capture can be submitted for processing. | 20 | 700 |
| Minimum frame count (Object) | Sets the minimum number of frames required before an Object mode capture can be submitted for processing. | 20 | 2000 |
Processing Mode
The Processing mode section lets you control which processing modes and detail levels are available to users when submitting captures.
Available Processing Modes (Space, Floorplan)
Toggle on or off which processing modes are available for Space and Floorplan captures:
| Processing Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Default / On-device | Processes captures directly on the device without sending data to the cloud. |
| Object | Uses object-optimized processing for Space and Floorplan captures. |
| Custom | Enables custom processing configurations for advanced use cases. |
| Cloud | Sends captures to Polycam's cloud infrastructure for processing. |
Available Detail Levels (Object)
Toggle on or off which detail levels users can select when processing Object mode captures:
| Detail Level | Description |
|---|---|
| Optimized | Produces a lightweight model optimized for performance and file size. |
| Medium | Balances detail and file size for general-purpose use. |
| Full | Produces a high-detail model with a larger file size. |
| Raw | Outputs unprocessed capture data for advanced workflows. |
Default Detail Level
Use the Default detail level dropdown to set which detail level is pre-selected for users when processing Object captures. If set to None, users will see the app's built-in default.
