How to Upload Your 3D Models into Polycam

Supported File Formats
Before uploading, make sure your file is in one of the supported formats listed below.
- .glb
- .gltf
- .obj
- .fbx
- .usdz
- .ply (Gaussian Splat only)
The file's polygon count cannot exceed 2,500,000 polygons. Files above this limit will not be accepted.
How to Upload Your 3D Model
1Open the Upload Menu
In your Polycam capture library, click the button on the left-hand side of the page and select Upload a 3D asset from the drop-down menu.
2Start the Upload
On the 3D Model Viewer page, click to open the upload area.
3Select Your Files
Click or drag and drop your 3D model files into the designated upload area. Make sure your files are in a supported format and do not exceed the 2,500,000 polygon limit before uploading.
4Confirm and Upload
Once your files are selected, click to add them to your library. When the upload is complete, your 3D models will be available to view and edit in Polycam.
