How to Delete Your Polycam Account

You can delete captures from your Polycam account on iOS, Android, and Web. Deleted captures are moved to a trash section where they can be restored within 30 days. After 30 days, they are permanently removed from your account.

Important: Deleting a capture will remove it from all devices associated with your Polycam account, and any shared links or embeds associated with it will stop working. You have 30 days to restore a deleted capture before it is permanently removed.

How to Delete a Capture on iOS and Android

1Open Your Capture Library

Launch the Polycam app on your device and navigate to your capture library to view all your saved captures.

2Open the Capture Options

Tap the ... icon next to the capture you want to delete to open the options menu.

3Choose How to Delete

You'll see two delete options in the options menu:

  • Move to Trash: Moves the capture to your Recently Deleted folder, where it can be restored within 30 days. After 30 days the capture is permanently removed.
  • Delete raw data: Removes the raw scan data associated with the capture while keeping the processed 3D model intact. This is useful for freeing up storage without losing your finished result. However, once raw data is deleted, you will no longer be able to reprocess the capture or use the Extend tool.
Note: If a capture has not been synced to the cloud before deletion, only the Move to Trash option will appear. Make sure to sync your captures first if you want the option to remove them from your device only.

How to Delete a Capture on Web

On Web, captures can only be permanently deleted. The Delete from device only and Delete raw data options are not available on Web.

1Open Your Capture Library

Go to poly.cam and sign in to your account. Navigate to your capture library to view all your saved captures.

2Open the Capture Options

Click the ... icon next to the capture you want to delete to open the options menu.

3Select Delete

Select Delete from the options menu. A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm the deletion.

4Confirm Deletion

Click Confirm in the confirmation dialog to delete the capture from your account. The capture will be moved to your trash and can be restored within 30 days.

How to Restore a Deleted Capture

If you've deleted a capture and need to recover it, you can restore it from the Recently Deleted section within 30 days of deletion. After 30 days the capture is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

On Web

In your Polycam library, click Recently Deleted in the left-hand navigation panel. Find the capture you want to recover and select the restore option to return it to your library.

On iOS and Android

In your capture library, tap the ... icon on the right-hand side of the library. From the drop-down, select Recently Deleted. Find the capture you want to recover and select the restore option to return it to your library.
